Frustrated asked: All these banks got the money and many people need them, but none of the banks are making it easy to do it. Does anyone know how to get a loan modification if you your variable loan is about to change or if you owe more on your house than it is worth?

redman32 asked: I have heard that once a loan is packaged and sold to investors on wall street, then there is nothing that can be done because the loan servicer does not hold the actual note. The reason i am asking is that there are alot of attorneys and other real estate professionals offering loan modification services for a fee but I do not want to get scammed if there is no such thing as a lon modification.

Pamela T asked: Is it easier to modify a loan if you don’t fit the underwriting guidelines for an FHA refinance?
Not in foreclosure; just have a high-interest rate ARM and too high of a DTI.
Thanks for your input.

Information guru asked: I have a temp agency who is trying to set me up with a temp to hire position in inside sales selling loan modification products to homeowners whose homes are about to go into foreclosure. I know there are a lot of homes right now going into foreclosure, but should I consider this opportunity? This is a new business getting started with seven reps that eventually will eventually expand to 30 reps. I may have the opportunity to get into management if I do well to begin.
In reference to first answer, this is one of the concerns I have had about the position.
