I have heard that once a loan is packaged and sold to investors on wall street, then there is nothing that can be done because the loan servicer does not hold the actual note. The reason i am asking is that there are alot of attorneys and other real estate professionals offering loan modification services for a fee but I do not want to get scammed if there is no such thing as a lon modification.
